An independent study found that S. 1955, The Health Insurance Marketplace Modernization and Affordability Act, would reduce health insurance premiums for small employers and reduce the number of the nation's uninsured by 8 percent or 900,000 people.
The study was conducted by Mercer Oliver Wyman for the National Small Business Association, and forecasted that S. 1955 would "alleviate some of the health insurance cost pressures faced by small employers."
